
The Duke of Edinburgh Scheme is open to people aged between 14 and 24 years and consists of 3 levels of achievement.
The 3 levels are Bronze, Silver and Gold and consist of activities in 4 sections ( 5 sections for the Gold Level ).
The 4 main section activities fall under the categories: Volunteering, Physical, Skills and Expedition.
The additional section for the Gold level is a Residential stay. The activities for the Bronze achievement require 3 months commitment,
for Silver it is 6 months and for Gold it is 12 months. There are other elements involved which you can find out about on the Duke of Edinburgh web site.
Completing the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award forms part of the Chief Scouts Platinum Award.
Completing the Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award forms part of the Chief Scouts Diamond Award.
Completing the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award forms part of the Queens Scout Award.
